This Labor Day weekend may be all barbecues and late summer getaways but next weekend is when the real cycling fun is to be had in Seattle, with two great events.

Bike Film Festival
Postponed earlier in the summer, the BFF is finally here! Looks like a great lineup, I can’t wait to see Where Are You Go – I will be there Friday night at 7 for the screening. The program continues Friday night with a shorts program, and then multiple screenings on Saturday afternoon/evening, all at the Henry Art Gallery Auditorium on the west side of the UW campus, followed by afterparties both nights at Flowers on the Ave.

Endless Summer Benefit for The Bikery
Sunday, if the High Pass Challenge is too much for you, try something a little more urban, kid-friendly, and fun. I’m helping my good friends at The Bikery throw an “Endless Summer” benefit scavenger hunt and outdoor movie. Come by and register for the scavenger hunt which starts at 5 PM, or just swing by a little later for the movie (Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure, screened outside at dusk). There will be raffles, bike merchandise, and fun of all kinds. (Party location)

The Bikery is a great bicycle cooperative and community space, so come share the love and help support it! (Or if you can’t make it to this event, stop by The Bikery some other time! Hours and location. Or just donate! $125 keeps The Bikery open for a whole day, but no amount is too small!)
