Tour de France in the 1950s.
I’ve been super busy with work and with cranking our homegrown PR machine into gear for my wife’s upcoming book release.
Too busy to post, but not too busy to surf! Here are some recent gleanings (some of which I’ve tweeted also).
- Ministers on a Calfee-built bamboo triple come to my neighborhood (and I miss it).
- Gizmodo posts crazy jet bike.
- Bike co-op in Boise opens new space.
- RideDog lets you map & share rides.
- Austin Bike Zoo does some cool bicycle-based theatrical performances.
- The Para-Cycle. Can this be real?!
- MatadorLife posts “20 of the Freakiest Custom Bikes on the Road.“
- One more bike art show to submit to (in addition to this, this and this).
- Soupcycle Portland makes soup and delivers it by bike!
- Penny Farthings designs bike ‘end trip facilities’ with solar-powered showers.
- I started reading the blogs Real Cycling, Box Dog Blog, Byclog, CreativExtreme, and Bike Intelligencer.
Also, I’ve been evangelizing a bit on Flickr for folks to add shots to the Bicycle Tattoo Group. I’ll be posting a fuller entry on bicycle tattoos soon…
And while I have you, I have to put in a plug for this video which, while not bike-related, is still really awesome. (It’s for the Japanese group Sour’s song ‘Hibi no Neiro’).
