Our family was recently hanging out at Seattle’s annual Tilth Harvest Festival, and Claire and I were left to wander and explore while Lyanda was signing books. We quickly gravitated to the Juice Peddler booth.

We picked our smoothie from the dozen-or-so fresh organic choices on the chalkboard, and Claire got to work blending our drink.

The smoothie-blending bikes have been reconfigured to drive the front wheel, where friction powers the drive shaft with enough torque to blend up ice pretty efficiently.

Juice Peddler is at the Queen Ann farmer’s market Thursday afternoons (till October 7).

very interesting conception. Healthy too. But too bad these vintage rides will be wasted once the fair is over. Luv those handle bars…

@12inchtoys — Juice Pedal is a business that goes to weekly farmers markets and other events in addition to this fair.
