I haven’t been watching the Tour de France, so I missed this wonderful moment but my friend Jim was savvy enough to send me the clip from his DVR. What a great moment – check out how fast this dad and his daughter are cruising on the path next to the three breakaway leaders!

Dad’s sprinting for all he’s worth for those 100 yards, of course, while the racers are on their third day in a row of 100+ miles at that speed.
Really funny. Last year I biked up Mt. Ventoux after that stage of the tour but biking next to the tour? This takes emulation to a whole new level. When I have a kid I know how I’ll brainwash him to love cycling.
