Tagalong Tour de France

I haven’t been watching the Tour de France, so I missed this wonderful moment but my friend Jim was savvy enough to send me the clip from his DVR. What a great moment – check out how fast this dad and his daughter are cruising on the path next to the three breakaway leaders!

I believe the bar has just been raised pretty significantly on the fiets of parenthood

That’s pretty cute :-) and they made international TV.

Dad’s sprinting for all he’s worth for those 100 yards, of course, while the racers are on their third day in a row of 100+ miles at that speed.

Really funny. Last year I biked up Mt. Ventoux after that stage of the tour but biking next to the tour? This takes emulation to a whole new level. When I have a kid I know how I’ll brainwash him to love cycling. ;)
